Before we start...

Every team will be given a direct link to login to the Puzzle Hunt. The link will be printed on a piece of paper that's sealed inside an envelope on your designated table.

Start of the Puzzle Hunt...

Go to the Puzzles tab to access all unlocked puzzles. At the start of the Puzzle Hunt, 3 puzzles will be unlocked. Click on the image to access the puzzle.

Solve a puzzle...

On a puzzle's page, click on the "Solve the puzzle" button to submit your guesses:



Answers are either an English word or a phrase. If the guess you submitted is one of the substep answers, the system will let you know you are on the right track. There are no penalties for submitting wrong guesses.

Get hints for a puzzle...

On a puzzle's page, click on the "View hints" button to view available hints:



Timed hints for a puzzle will be automatically released every 10 minutes after that puzzle is unlocked. Hints are a great way to confirm you are on the right track, or to give you some guidance when you are stuck. There are no penalties for checking hints.

Unlock new puzzles...

Solving any puzzle will unlock a new puzzle:


Keep solving puzzles until the meta puzzle is unlocked: the first team that solves the meta puzzle will be the winner of the Puzzle Hunt.

If no one solves the meta puzzle, then the team that solved the most puzzles the fastest will be the winner of the Puzzle Hunt

I’m stuck on a puzzle. What should I do?

Here are some general puzzle tips that might be useful:

  • Check the reference sheet.
  • Check the available hints: 1 of the 6 hints will be made available every 10 minutes after the puzzle is unlocked.
  • Submit solved clues from substeps of the puzzle to confirm you are on the right track.
  • Thoroughly check the work that you’ve already done. Fixing a small mistake or incorrect assumption can greatly help with getting unstuck.
  • Get fresh eyes on the puzzle, or conversely, take a break and look at something else.
  • Consider what information you haven’t used yet.
  • It can be useful to put everything you have into your favorite search engine.
